I haven't seen many for sale in Australia in the last couple years, of any colour.

Apart from a few less desirable ones that aren't in great shape.

There was one a few weeks ago on carsales for ~55k, but I think the ad is now gone?

I don't see a passenger footrest, and what's with the zip-tied HID ballast on the driver's side as well as placed on the battery box lid??...

Haha no idea. I thought the passenger mat was from a lower spec s8 and was simply sitting over the footrest, but in the other photo of the interior it does not look like there is a footrest either and it looks like there is no mat at all.

You'd have to settle for having mismatched seats as well.

I wonder if this car used to be titanium...
    Might need to ask Gomez.

Didn't even notice the mis-matched seat, good pick up. No wonder it's going cheap, who knows what other lil nasties are in there

Just an FYI, the post above from Original Motorsport was not approved when you made your post with the link.....that's why you didn't see it.

This is what happens when people aren't verified! Welcome to the forum, OMS.

I agree, the passenger footrest is likely under the long floormat. Seen that often on these cars. Note the passenger mat doesn't have the red border, it's not a Spirit R mat.

Note also to DAK, yes contact me when you find a Spirit R before you spend any coin. I have a database on RZ's and Spirit R's collated over many years now. I may be able to prevent you making an expensive mistake.

Info on this blue Spirit R, for example:

Was listed for auction in Japan in July 2012, grade 3.5B, done 68,910km (800km more than the speedo now reads, go figure). Had the black bride, 3 gauge pod (now gone), dump tip, HID's, unsold @ 1.315M yen. Relisted for auction in August 2012 with a 450yen start price (lol), sale price unknown. And yes, it was always blue!! Was sold with it's original service books.

    Here's it's auction sheet:

BTW, even DAK's posts in his own thread require approval before display because he wasn't verified when he had his previous FD.

Sometimes posts may be days old before we get around to reading and approving them....getting yourself verified saves you (and others) a lot of hassles.

It's great to know that kind of history when buying a new car. I would also like to own a S8 FD in the near future , hence why I haven't been verified yet.

I will be sure to contact Gomez before I hand over the money for my FD

Looking at the BBS wheels, the colour looks lighter than normal and I think they are the ones from a RZ, not a Type A.

Also, the drivers side mat does not have RX-7 embroidered in it like others I've seen (I don't know if this is a Mazda factory option and something to be concerned about - it's possible the seat is just hiding it).

Not RZ Rims mate. RZ rims are darker and the style is slightly different. Might be from a different spec Spirit R though.
