Sadly even those of us with supposedly real km's can never be completely sure.
There are plenty of listings on yahoo auctions offering odometer resets, even with maintenance history and export certificates you can never be completely sure.
These higher km FD's are an obvious money maker for the shifty car yards as they drop heavily in value as they approach 100,000km's in Japan. With a km reset they must go close to doubling their money by the time it leaves the yard here.
106km's for a 12 year old car is far from bad.
